Welcome to The Sustainable Home Hub. I am Dr Helen Edwards, PhD. I am an award winning writer, blogger, children's author, content creator, and, hold a PhD in Psychology. Most importantly, I am very lucky to be Mama to 3 beautiful sons.

At the Sustainable Home Hub, we are all about inspiring action for our planet, with kindness and hope. In particular we take a focus on living a more gentle life for our children, because it is #ourkidsplanet. We want to help you take action in your life to tread more lightly on the earth, while managing climate grief & eco-anxiety.

Sign up here for our newsletter so you don't miss updates, new stories and info about my books, resources and events. Head here to find out about my writing, content creation and speaking services.

Let's change the conversation. Let's acknowledge our sadness and grief about our planet, but also, let's stand together and see the joy, so we can stay on the path to keeping her safe and healthy. Let's do this together, with kindness and hope, for our children's futures.

Look for the helpers and be the light.

Reasons why your brain is the biggest part of going green: 1. Changing your habits requires changing your thinking, behaviour & attitudes. 🐝 2. This takes time and it isn't easy. For example, going to an #opshop for an item you need instead of a mall, taking your own bags, refusing to shop. 🐸 3. It takes strength of mind and resilience to keep on the path and not go backwards. 🌻 4. It takes acceptance and commitment, understanding your values and allowing yourself to feel uncomfortable feelings, to deal with #ecoanxiety and #climategrief.
