Have you ever thought about using something upcycled in your home but wondered where to start? Well Recyclers, we have some very funky upcycled lounge room ideas for your inspo today from our friends at the very cool Kuttlefish.

  1. Upcycled Auto-Loveseat

2) Upcycled Wine Barrel Coffee Table

French oak barrels are so divine – the smell and the patina – this makes the perfect upcycled coffee/cocktail table and you could leave it empty or add whatever you want inside, such as the corks in this one.

3) Upcycled Ladder Shelving

Simple but effective – get an old ladder and strip it down, or leave it rustic and painty – add some glass shelves and there you have it! You could also use recycled timber for the shelves.

4) Upcycled Radiator Coffee Table

Such a gorgeous industrial piece! Old radiator upcycled into a coffee table on wheels. Adding a unique and functional piece to your lounge room.

5) Crate Side Table

Such a gorgeous vintage vibe with this upcycled crate to side table. Grab a crate, paste in some vintage paper or sheets from an old book; add wheels and off you go! A favourite.

And how about these upcycled lounge room ideas from the marketplace at Kuttlefish

6) Upcycled Vintage Suitcase Side Table

Upcycled vintage suitcase side table

These guys took a fun 1950s, light gray hard-sided suitcase and married it with a small mid century table and created a unique retro side table or night stand. The suitcase is secured to the 1″ thick MDF table top with five screws. The base has been painted with light gray chalk paint and giving shabby, worn finish. They added some reproductions of vintage suitcase stickers to the top and side of the case for a great retro look. They gave the top several coats of polyurethane to help protect the suitcase and protect the paper labels. The vintage suitcase opens up to reveal its original dark indigo blue satin lining with 3 elastic side pockets and can be used for storage or display. The lid stands vertical when open. The base and center piece unscrew for compact shipping–they reassemble in a few seconds with no tools needed. See more here

7) Reclaimed Wood Pallet Coffee Table

I can’t believe we gave the crashed HR to the Metal Man when we could have had two of these! Boot + Engine compartment, matching pair. Although he did sell it to the Wreckers/Renovators so it will get back on the road again some day. All good.
