We have some exciting news to share!
Firstly, what a ride!! After more than 2000 women nominated and 200 finalists, I came 3rd in the AusMumpreneur Awards for sustainability. Pictured here with my pretty pink trophy and the amazing founderof Orangutan Alliance, Maria, for whom I am an Ambassador. It was an AMAZING 2 days of meeting and listening to inspiring, clever, smart, beautiful women who are mamas and business women in all their fierceness and softness. Congratulations to everyone who made the finals- we are all winners!
And congratulations to all of YOU dear readers, for making a difference to our beautiful planet xx
Sustainable Home Hub!
Next, to reflect our growth over the last 5 years since starting Recycled Interiors blog, and in response to popular vote from our community, we have changed our name and brand to The Sustainable Home Hub! This encompasses the huge range of things we now offer – our blog, directory, courses, workshops, books and services. The Recycled Interiors name will stay as our little retail arm, and we may have some new things planned for that too in coming months.
Our web address will change soon, but don’t worry as all the old URL’s will be pointed towards our new one. Our work will not change, what we do and who we are remains the same, but we feel the name fits us perfectly and so do all the people who have given us a big thumbs up!
I was prompted to take the leap after thinking about it for a while, after winning the bronze awards in the Ausmumpreneur awards on the weekend – I am so very proud of this achievement. I made some amazing connections and look forward to forging new and exciting partnerships to help create a better planet for all of us. This was a sustainability in business award, but sustainability is everyone’s business. The choices we make now will affect our children into the future. We must take all of the small and large steps we possibly can so that they can enjoy this beautiful world we live in today.
We are excited about what’s to come and look forward to sharing it with all of you. Together we can change the world.
