Are you a homeowner and wanting to renovate or build your family home?

Many homeowners are overwhelmed and confused about where to start when it comes to building or renovating their family homes. Consequently they put it off, or make newbie errors early on that negatively impact their project and future home. Or alternatively, they race into their project without preparation and subject themselves to stress and expensive mistakes.

In my experience, there are 5 main challenges and fears I hear from homeowners everywhere. These may sound familiar to you – they are …

    1. Budget blowouts, and your project crippling you financially, or not being able to be finished
    2. The time it will take, and how you’ll fit it into your already busy life
    3. The number of unknowns, and being feeling like a target to be ripped off
    4. The stress of feeling out of your depth with so much at stake in your future home and lifestyle
    5. Stuffing it up, and having to live everyday with the consequences of choices you regret

Imagine instead feeling confident about how to design, build or renovate your future family home? When you know what you need to know, you can save time, money and stress. You get it right and create a beautiful and functional home you’re proud of. One that works for you and your family, feels great and that you feel great in.

I’m Amelia Lee, the architect behind Undercover Architect. I’m a registered architect, as well as a wife, a mum and a serial renovator (although not always in that order!) Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of homeowners in over 250 projects and millions of dollars worth of residential construction. This includes three renovations of my own family homes. In fact, my kids all learnt to climb ladders before they walked!

I love helping and teaching homeowners the knowledge they need to get to right in their family homes. It’s always amazing to see how confidence and know-how really impacts the success of their project. And the fantastic homes they create transform the everyday lifestyles of their families, whilst achieving their financial and future goals.

We are at the front end of planning our next (and maybe last) home. I came across Amelia on social media and went straight to her website and blog. She is very responsive to comments and conversation and the value she has added to my thinking already is fantastic. The real deal.
