Handmade, sustainable, ethical, single origin ceramics and wood wares.
Truly beautiful rustic ceramic and wood pieces for your home and table that you know didn’t cost the earth, or rely on unethical trade and manufacturing practices.
All of my materials are sourced from within 100 miles of where I live. I do have a small buffer for wood glues and glazes, but am reducing this when and where possible with the aim to be totally 100 mile dependant.
Each item I handcraft comes with its own statement of source and origin for the materials, all of which are sustainable and sourced from within 100 miles (be it clay or wood). When you know where the materials come from, who made the piece and where, the authenticity and accountability that comes with that is second to none.
All of my packaging is biodegradable and compostable. I use eco tissue paper, reclaimed and vintage linen, natural jute twine or organic fair trade hemp twine, recycled paper swing tags, unbleached paper and sometimes even fresh herbs out of the garden! On the odd occasion I use bubble wrap which is always clean and rescued from going to landfill, and I encourage its further use. I also carbon offset postage through Trees For Life.” thanks so very much for the beautiful pottery…….the only problem is I don’t want to give any away…….those spoons are magical and the bowls divine……NEED MORE” G Doherty, California.
