Cabinetry and interior design consultancy.
The only cookie cutter you’ll find in an ecocabinets kitchen is in the utensils drawer.
ecocabinets founder, Philippe Signer, a qualified Industrial Designer and Chef, will work closely with you to create carefully considered custom designs that reflect your personality and lifestyle.
He’s as passionate about the environment as good design, and uses sustainable practices and materials.
New build or renovation, Philippe will work within your budget to create a space that is absolutely, positively, stunningly YOU.
ecocabinets specialises in zero emission, low voc cabinetry. The materials we ultimately specify comes down to the brief we receive from our clients. The breadth of choice is so comprehensive that we are sure to find a “green” solution for virtually any budget. A short and by no means complete rundown of materials we might suggest range form paperock, a board that is made of partially recycled paper and assembled with a cashew derived glue, eco farmed plywood that gets its superior performance and longevity from a soy glue, zero emission chipboard, forestry stewardship council (FSC) certified cabinets, ecuadorian eco balsawood for thick and light shelving, a timber look alike board (urban veneer by NAV) which is coated with a film that decomposes into water and carbon dioxide and the list goes on (and gets bigger all the time).
Deb: We moved into our newly built home about 8 weeks ago. The *final* piece to go in was a wall unit in our main living area, that would function as a craft area as well. My husband builds model ships, and I sew/knit. We like to work on projects while chatting to each other, or with the TV on, but I also wanted to be able to ‘hide’ everything when not in use, and all this with limited space. Philippe’s design was brilliant, and we’re ever so pleased with the final result. I would recommend Ecocabinets to anyone wanting great design and excellent installation.
Gail and Garth: Philippe has recently designed and supplied our new kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. He did an excellent and highly creative job. We found him to be very easy to work with, as well as diligent and honourable. Philippe was prepared to go more than the extra mile to get our job done extremely well. We would highly recommend Ecocabinets to anyone wanting good design, eco-friendly cabinetry, and a smooth yet stimulating renovation or building process.
Robyn and Ken: Philippe designed and co-ordinated a total renovation of our kitchen. He was very professional, worked through our “wish-list” with us and produced a design that was all we wanted plus many extras we hadn’t considered. We wanted an attractive, functional kitchen that also met our environmental and sustainability guidelines. Philippe ensured that we could achieve the best outcome that met these guidelines within the constraint of our budget. It was quite a big project for us but with Philippe’s guidance it all came together with very few problems and delays. At times Philippe even went beyond his area of responsibility to ensure work went ahead on time. We love our kitchen, it’s a very friendly space and our family and friends love gathering there. The transformation from our old dingy kitchen was dramatic. When we later decided to carry out some renovations on our bathroom and laundry, we had no hesitation on engaging Philippe to do the design and co-ordinate the work. These rooms are also totally transformed and meet our every need.
Nicola and Cisco: We have hired Philippe Signer repeatedly over a period of 4 years to work on our personal projects – a new kitchen, built in robes/bookcases in bedrooms and bookshelves/ gas fireplace housing in the livingroom. We always have had a clear vision of what we wanted and found Philippe ready to accommodate our plans and consistently provide design suggestions and solutions that always suited our tastes and needs. We have been very happy with the outcomes, with the quality and appearance of the installations often being admired. Philippe is always professional and has always delivered on time; we have no hesitation in recommending his services.
Marion: I really loved working with Philippe. We were on quite a restricted budget but at no stage did he alter his enthusiasm and efforts for our kitchen renovation. He was very generous with his time during the design phase, visiting us at our house on a number of occasions to go through various ideas, producing highly visual 3D concept drawings in real time on his laptop and showing us how minor tweaks to the design could impact the overall look (good and bad). At all times he was respectful of any ideas we already about both the design and materials which made for a really great working relationship. He was always enthusiastic and good fun to work with. I would highly recommend Philippe’s business to anyone.
Joe: Philippe designed and supervised installation of our kitchen, bathrooms and laundry cabinets, as well as storage cabinets in a number of our living areas. He understood very quickly the look we were trying to achieve, provided a number of alternatives designed to work with our budget, and ultimately the result was very pleasing. I would recommend Philippe wholeheartedly.
Sara: I love the kitchen, and so is everyone that walks through my door, many thanks again for all the good work you and your team from ECOcabinet did for me. I won’t hesitate to recommend you to any one I know or come across, that needs that kind of work done,
