JEANBAG was founded with a passion for the environment and a little idea… to transform your old denim jeans into beautiful and useful products for your home and life. Your cut-offs are filled with your stories and memories. They’re too precious to remain hidden in the back of your closet. We give them a new life, honouring the time, skill and resources that went into creating them in the first place.
Every JEANBAG product is handmade in Australia and is completely unique, just like you.

At JEANBAG we repurpose your old blue jeans into beautiful and useful homewares and lifestyle products. From the very beginning we decided to do one thing and do it well, which is why we focus on transforming recycled denim jeans into well-designed and exceptionally crafted products.

One of the magical outcomes of working with recycled materials is that every single product we make is unique. No two are exactly the same. They’re all made by hand in our Brisbane-based studio for people who value artisanal handmade products and our environment.

While we work with amazing clothing charities to source most of the denim for our products, there are two ways you can get directly involved in recycling your own denim jeans. If you feel your old favourites are no longer your bag and are not in suitable condition to donate to charity, you can send them to us via our My JEANBAG initiative, and have them transformed into your very own JEANBAG. Through our Recycle Me initiative, we incorporate your jeans into any of our products for general sale and in return we give you 10% off your next online order. It’s our way of thanking you for helping us keep beautiful denim out of landfill.

We love how JEANBAG has chosen to do something good for the environment both locally and globally. We share one planet and we need to do good everywhere.”—Louise Lindsay, Physiotherapist, Norwex Consultant & eco-conscious mother of two

“I’m passionate about art and design, things that are well crafted and have stories to tell. JEANBAG is a superior example of good design solving a problem and doing it in the most beautiful possible way. JEANBAG is a superb product!”—Jacqueline Armitstead,
Award-winning Art Consultant, Curator & mother of three

“We’ve been JEANBAG fans right from the start. We like to support makers, original ideas and people who think outside the square. Our JEANBAG is a reminder of the good that people are doing in the world.”—Nicolas Cariati, Company Director, woodworker & beach lover

“As a maker myself, I thoroughly appreciate the time, skill and effort that goes into handmade products. The craftsmanship and quality of our JEANBAG is spot on. And, it’s the go to seat in the studio for our clients!”—Mark McCarthy,
Designer, family man & nature lover

Such a brilliant idea, focussing on a very available material that still has so much life left in it – jeans! And the products are so well made, gorgeous and make a statement in your home
