Welcome to The Sustainable Home Hub, an award-winning eco blog and directory. We are all about inspiring action for our planet while tackling climate grief & eco-anxiety.

I am Helen Edwards, an award winning writer, blogger and children's author. I am Mama to 3 beautiful sons and I have just finished my PhD in psychology.

We are constantly overwhelmed with the devastating impacts of our climate emergency, with the plastic pollution tsunami, extinction crisis, loss of habitats and eco-systems, and the ultimate demise of human beings. It is easy to become filled with guilt and despair.

While we need to share these messages, take as much action as we can ourselves, and keep speaking up and fighting for change at all levels, we also need to acknowledge our grief, sadness and anxiety about the future. The collective grief is growing and adults and children across the globe, are feeling the weight of hopelessness. But without hope, there is nothing.

I hope you will join us in taking inspired action, for all of our futures.  Sign up here for our newsletter so you don't miss updates, new stories and info about my books, resources and events.

Let's change the conversation. Let's acknowledge our sadness and grief about our planet, but also, let's stand together and see the joy in our planet so we can stay on the path to keeping her safe and healthy. Let's do this together, with kindness and hope, for our children's futures.

Look for the helpers and be the light.

They will be exhibiting at Design and Decoration in Melbourne in July so I will be able to check their range out in person. It is always best to touch and feel a piece of furniture if you can, to get a sense of how you will feel when you use it so hopefully I can road test it for you!
