A quickie DIY makeover of a vintage pot plant stand with Copper

Hi lovelies – a little weekend quickie for you!

Retro pot stands are all the rage at the moment and vintage and new ones are popping up everywhere. They look great and keep the pots off your floor away from pets and little ones, as well as adding some great structural style to a room.

At the Garage Sale Trail, I picked up a great vintage metallic pot and stand. The stand was in very rustic condition.

I have given it a copper spray and here is the result.

Oh and Freddie the cat helped! I left the pot as is, because I like the rustic aged patina. I may add a highlight at some stage but am living with this for a while to see how I feel.

Our haul! Some for our vintage store, some for styling props and some keepers :)

Our haul! The pot stand at the back.

What do you think?

A simple one, just clean the piece, make sure you are out in the open when using spray paint, and apply with an even motion across the piece. Hope you are having a lovely weekend.
